I am an artist and librarian from Vancouver, BC. In both my creative practice and my work as a librarian, I explore intersections of art and information. I received an MFA for California College of the arts in 2010 and MLIS from the University of British Columbia iSchool in 2023. My work is not medium specific, but rooted in inquiry into what it means to be an artist. I create work referencing representations of creativity in film, history, and literature, exploring how meaning is derived from how we learn about art. Grounding this work is an interest in how creative output is shaped by how we look at, learn about and discuss art. I have continued this line of inquiry into my practice as an information professional, researching how users experience information in both physical and digital spaces, and exploring the radical potential of non-hierarchical forms of information organization. Over the last 15 years, I have exhibited my work in Vancouver BC, San Francisco CA, Atlanta GA, Denver CO, Reykjavik IS. I have also worked in a variety of positions at both public and academic. I currently work at the University of British Columbia Walter C. Koerner Library, where I assist in the development and delivery of responsive library collections, resources, and services.
